Welcome to the Ghana Electronic Visa (e-Visa) Platform. By accessing or using this platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before submitting your visa application.

Acceptance of Terms

By using the Ghana e-Visa Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use this platform.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Ghana Immigration Service.

Eligibility & Account Registration

To use this platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept full responsibility for all activities under your account

You may not create an account using false information or on behalf of someone else without proper authorization.

Visa Application Process

Application Submission

  • All information provided must be truthful and complete
  • You must upload genuine, unaltered documents
  • False information may result in denial and legal consequences
  • Applications are subject to verification and security screening

Processing & Decisions

  • Processing times are estimates and not guaranteed
  • GIS reserves the right to approve or deny any application
  • Visa approval does not guarantee entry into Ghana
  • Final entry decisions are made by officers at ports of entry
  • No refunds are provided for denied applications

Payment Terms

  • All visa fees must be paid in full before application processing
  • Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways
  • Visa fees are non-refundable except in cases of system error or duplicate payment
  • You are responsible for any bank or transaction fees charged by your payment provider
  • Prices are subject to change without notice
  • Receipts are provided electronically upon successful payment

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system
Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the platform
Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
Impersonate another person or entity
Resell or commercialize access to the platform
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

Violation of these terms may result in account suspension, application denial, and legal action.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of content

We do not guarantee that your visa application will be approved or that you will be granted entry into Ghana.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Ghana Immigration Service shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Travel expenses incurred due to visa denial or delay
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
  • Technical failures, system downtime, or data loss

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of visa fees paid by you.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, including:

Immigration Act

2000 (Act 573)

Data Protection Act

2012 (Act 843)

Electronic Transactions Act

2008 (Act 772)

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
